Best in Virginia 2019 - We Won!

This has been a very tough secret to keep, but finally, the moment has come to announce that, thanks to you, we won two major awards from Virginia Living magazine for the 2ND YEAR IN A ROW!!!

In the Best Independent Home Decor Store category, we won 2nd place and in the Best Gift Shop category, we won 3rd place! A huge achievement that we are truly grateful to receive.

A NOTE FROM SHARON (Owners of Tinker's):

We want to personally thank all of you for supporting us over the years and for taking time to vote in these contests.

Believe me, every time Josh (my son) discovers a new "Best of..." contest, we both get nervous and uncomfortable about asking people to vote for us. Why? Because we want your lives to be convenient and fun and easy and sometimes, going to a website to vote or asking you to leave a review on Yelp or Facebook is time consuming....but we want to thank you for supporting us and doing it anyways.

We are not a big business and we aren't going to lie, it is tough to compete with places like Amazon and Target. We see some of our favorite small stores close all the time, but the one thing that makes every challenge worth it is seeing you all in the store smiling and having fun. We don't really do ads in magazines or papers, so word of mouth and Facebook, Instagram, etc. are our main ways to advertise. You are our marketing team and you all rock!

We love seeing photos of our merchandise in your homes and the excitement it gives someone at a party. We put my heart and soul into the store and to see that it makes such a difference in people's lives is amazing.

I could go on and on, but Tony, myself, and all of our Tinker team would like to thank you so much. I would also like to thank my Tinker gals because they do a great job day in and day out and I couldn't do this without them.
